Author Bio

Alden Drake, whose super real name is totally, one hundred percent on his birth certificate and definitely not a pen name he made up after three hours of googling “A-Z baby names,” is a brand-new author in the world of actually publishing things instead of just writing gay fanfiction on AO3. (He’ll probably still write gay fanfiction on AO3.)

Halfway down the Garden State, Alden spends most of his time writing; drawing; gaming; petting his cats, who act like being held like the babies they are is a personal attack; and trying new recipes (usually messing up, even with very specific directions) in the kitchen with his mom, whom he loves dearly and considers his greatest role model.

Soul of Solace is Alden’s debut novel, but he already has ideas for future books. Yes, they will also be gay (primarily, but also just queer in general) fantasy romance. No, he has not strayed far from the gay fanfiction. It always comes back to the gay fanfiction with this guy.

Alden just hopes readers enjoy and/or find meaningful things in his work, as it means a lot to him too. He drew lots of pictures to prove it.
